The Greydon Flexographic Printers bring high quality printing to medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
Medical and pharmaceutical packaging often requires a large amount of printed information; instructions, diagrams, logos, bar codes, etc. In the past each product would need its own preprinted roll of material.
Using Greydon’s flexo printer allows all the required text, graphics and bar codes to be printed at the time of packaging – no costly managing of preprinted materials.
Designed to retrofit to all horizontal form/fill/seal machines these flexographic printers can print in-line with the material feed or across the web. Available in one or two color versions, the printers use photopolymer printing plates and water based, alcohol based or UV curable inks.
An innovative inking system allows for the removal of both the fountain and anilox roll in seconds for easy clean up and color changes.
These flexographic printers print when the packaging machine is stopped. The unique drive system eliminates clutches and offers precise registration and reduces stress on package seals.
Need to print variable information?
In many cases variable data needs to be printed in addition to the static print.
To facilitate this it is common to add an additional printer to the system to handle date/lot codes and UDI bar codes.
This second printer can be a thermal transfer printer, an HP inkjet or a Greydon Genesis, depending on the needs of the application.
